Teachers

Remco Beverloo
Hello, my name is Remco Beverloo. I am 30 years old and I live in Amsterdam. During my studies I got into teaching and I discovered it as one of my passions. I really enjoy seeing my students progress. I have a CELTA  certificate by the University of Cambridge, which allows me to teach foreign languages to non-native speakers. Furthermore I have a Bachelor Degree in Education for children aged 4 to 14.

I also have lots of different teaching experiences. I volunteered as a Teacher in Summer Camps in Estonia and in Russia (I even taught children/teenagers in Siberia). As a professional I worked as a language teacher in Germany and as a primary school teacher in London and Amsterdam. Because my passions are teaching and languages I like to combine those two and want to help you to be able to communicate in another language.

At the moment I can offer courses for learning Dutch (Native-speaker), English (CELTA) and German (TestDaF). My goal is making learning fun. Please don't hesitate to  CONTACT me.

Rico Costa

Hey there! I am Rico and I am from Brazil, currently living in Europe. I initially started teaching English during my Bachelor in Law in Brazil as a way of developing my skills and improve knowledge in a foreign language. After I moved to Europe and started attending my Masters Degree in Social Sciences, I started teaching Portuguese for students who were interested in visiting Brazil, who wanted to learn the language for their Erasmus Program or even just for fun.

In fact, I have been a teacher in Europe since 2012. I started working at Castor Lingua in 2018 and it is really a pleasure to work for this school. Teaching has really given me a lot, not only in terms teaching others the Portuguese language, but it has also given me the possibility to get to know lots of different cultures, attitudes and lifestyles.

I like to use a modern and dynamic method for teaching Portuguese which includes (Conversação, Questionamento e Cenário). It is important to learn fast and effective. During classes, questioning and dialoguing are done in a slightly higher than normal conversation pace, this means that in a short time, the student subject to this dynamic starts to form an image in Portuguese, thus excluding the need to translate everything they think. The method can be individually applied, thus helping the student to think and speak Portuguese form the first day of class. Teaching and learning a language is a fun activity.  Please don't hesitate to  CONTACT me.
