Understanding the World

Philosophy

Our philosophy of learning a language is based on three pillars:

  • understanding
  • motivation
  • doing

Understanding

The reason why you want to learn a language is to be able to communicate in another language. This means that it is important to focus on the communication while learning a language. The communication works when both communicators understand each other. This is why understanding is really important while learning a language. In our lessons we will focus on understanding and less on grammar and useless vocabulary. You will learn the basics, so you will be able to communicate.

Motivation

Learning a language can be fun, but most of the time it is quite boring as well. At Castor Lingua we will also help you to motivate yourself for learning. We will do this by showing you the fun parts of knowing a language, but also by showing you the progress you have made during a course.

Doing

The classical way of learning a language is learning the vocabulary and learning about the grammar. Vocabulary and grammar are really important in language learning, but we believe that you will learn the vocabulary and grammar by doing. By doing we mean that you will speak, write, listen and read during our lessons. Furthermore we will make sure that the language you learn will be by doing the language in real-life situations, because of that you will learn the language more effectively and be more motivated as well.
